more morels

The whole family has been pretty sick the last few weeks (well it all started mother's day with Pearl projectile vomiting the whole day). Then I was doing the same the following day, and since then it has been high fevers, laringitis, heavy congestion and head yuckiness for all three of us. We're finally climbing out of it now, so back on the blog today after a few weeks absence.


In TOTALLY UNRELATED News: we found a bunch more morels in the woods near our house on mother's day and had a huge feast that night with steak. Now the season has passed and we're going to have to find some other reason to go for walks. Good thing berry season is just around the corner...


Pearl had her six month appointment last week, and our little bug is doing very well. She's 13 pounds 2 ounces, which is only one pound more than she weighed at her four month appointment and definitely small for her age. But the Doctor does not see this as an issue as she's still on an upward curve. She's just petite. Here's a picture of her standing tall and showing off that bony little bum with a diaper wedgie.
