We're all grasping onto the last remnants of summer, as the temperature drops and the leaves turn yellow here in Wisconsin. Here are a few more photos from visits with family and friends.
Ken and Pearl striking a pose. These two look like co-conspirators up to no good.
It's hard to get Pearl to look into the camera even when we're carefully setting up a shot, but miraculously, she's actually smiling (somewhat) and looking into the camera in this quick group shot as we dropped our friend Dave off at the Ferry in Vancouver. Had a nice breakfast at a great kid-friendly restaurant on Commercial Drive in East Van. with the Fischer-Credo clan. The place was packed with retro high chairs (probably not up to today's safety standards, but Pearl was definitely comfortable.)
We were back west over Ken's birthday, so we had to have a little celebration. My sister Megan made an awesome chocolate cake and we enjoyed a nice bbq picnic dinner with the Goldsberry's and the Knudson family. You can see Ken enjoying his lego head lamp birthday gift. He's pretty pleased about that as you can tell. I asked him to please take it off when we went back through airport security.
Playing barefoot in the grass and grabbing at bubbles with the cousins. And in the blink of an eye, summer is behind us.
