We've been away from the computer a bit this summer and as a result, it's been a while since our last post. In the last two months Pearl has gotten quite a bit more active and we've made many summer memories. She's now ten months old which is hard to believe, and I'm downloading quite a few photos over the course of a few posts of the last two months to catch everyone up....

This photo was taken back in late July, when Pearl was just starting to get really good at picking up bigger objects and reaching for things. In early August the three of us took a trip back to Vancouver for a week and Pearl experienced many firsts on the trip. The weather was fantastic while we were in the Northwest and we were able to spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying family and friends. Among the fun things we did was hang out at the beach, enjoy fish and chips in Horseshoe Bay with Ken's parents and Pearl's cousins, go for hikes and eat lots of yummy northwest food. The cousin's enjoyed a lot of Pearl time helping her discover new things, and she certainly never lacked for attention!

Ken's mom knit this adorable purple dress for Pearl to grow into. Can't wait until she's able to fill it out a bit more this winter.

Pearl and Ken's dad enjoyed spending a lot of time together, and Pearl really cozied up to him, often taking naps in his lap or just walking around the yard looking at flowers.

We did a nice hike on one of our last days in Vancouver in Deep Cove. The day was perfect, and the views at the top amazing. Here is Ken's niece standing on the edge taking in the view of Deep Cove. After the hike we rewarded ourselves with a little ice cream. Ken gave Pearl a taste of her first ice cream cone (without me knowing), she loved it of course, and couldn't stop eating.

More photos to come......
